Hi there, and thank you for visiting! My name is Lauren, and I started She Sees the World in early 2025. I am based in Colorado, USA since January 2024. I grew up in Charleston, West Virginia and have a special place in my heart for the small, connected communities of Appalachia. Before moving to Colorado, I lived in the urban sprawl of Southern California for 4 years. I had some incredibly formative and life-enhancing experiences there, which I will certainly share more about on this blog. Also, it’s where I met my amazing partner of 4 years!

I have a bachelor’s degree in biology and am constantly inspired by the natural world. Here in Colorado, I work as a Museum Educator and am regularly reveling in the fact that I get to be around exhibits, scientists, students, and fellow educators at my job. When I’m not at the museum, I can often be found at a local coffee shop, thrifting, or cozying up with my partner and two cats, Ralph and Theo. My hobbies include fashion design and sewing (working on a blog for that, too!), dancing, and dreaming about my next adventure!
